Taught in a school (Adarsha Vidyaniketan for Boys, Naihati, West Bengal) for about a year in 1968-69.
Taught in Darjeeling Govt. College for about a year in 1969-1970.
Taught in Heramba Chandra College for about 37 years from 1970 to 2007.

Research Interests: Salil's fields of
interest include Renaissance Literature, particularly Thomas More and his works. A translator. he is also interested in Translation
